Not shyly, the Japanese made it clear that the Lotus Elan from the sixties and seventies played a key role in their design planning - and you can feel it!

1598 cc displacement from four cylinders, 115 hp on the rear axle and probably the crispest manual gearbox in the world - that's all you need to enjoy a weekend on our mountain passes or in the Black Forest. With the roadster top down, of course!
History
1991 saw the first special model called the V-Special or British Edition.
An NA in British Racing Green (there was no other colour to choose from) with beige leather upholstery.
The dashboard also differed from the standard model, the underside in beige, the top in black, but with a slightly "softer" surface.
Furthermore, beige leather seats, matching door panels and carpets.
The tarpaulin is also finished in this colour.
The PVC soft top, however, remains black.
The British-inspired roadster is supplied with power steering, electric windows and the black leather Momo steering wheel. The whole thing is rounded off with chrome door sills.
The engine, drivetrain and chassis correspond to the standard MX 5.
