Heating was an optional extra at the time, and apparently the first owner didn't tick this box when ordering - heat in our Healey comes exclusively from the engine and the exhaust system. In nasty weather, the folding top can be closed and the windows rolled up, there is no more weather protection, but it is sufficient, in our opinion. Please note - although it is a 2+2 seater, it is registered for 2 people in Switzerland. However, the rear "seats" offer practical space for luggage!
Our Austin Healey of the last stage of development MKIII Phase 2 can rightly be called mature, if you compare it with its predecessors. No wonder, it is also the most popular in the line of ancestors of this British cultural asset.
The exhaust with its beguiling sound, the high-torque 3-litre engine and the classic ice blue/white paintwork make our Healey a unique experience! Whoever says "Healey" immediately thinks of exactly this model with the blue/beige paint and the large three-litre engine that gives this "Big Healey" its thrust.
We recommend the "personal introduction" (only possible during our opening hours Monday-Friday) option for this vehicle to familiarize you with the vehicle. If you book without this option, please note and follow the instructions in the vehicle and watch the instruction video.
Perfect for
Classic car rallies, passport rides, weekend trips, holidays, weddings, birthday surprises
Special Features
No heating, but the engine does heat up a bit! Of course, the pleasure is greatest with the roof open, but should the weather let you down, you simply close the folding top. In our MKIII, the windows of the earlier models have been replaced by practical crank windows. In the boot and behind the seats there is enough space for luggage to enjoy a weekend trip, or more. The special thing, of course, is the legendary six-cylinder engine, the exhaust sound and the timeless shape in the classic paintwork of our Austin Healey!
History
Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood, Bruce McLaren, Harrison Ford and Barry Sheene owned an Austin Healey.
Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco, could not resist the beauty of the British roadster either, as did Joanne Woodward, actress in the 1950s and wife of Paul Newman.
But the most legendary Healey driver was Pat Moss, the younger sister of Sir Stirling Moss. The rally icon won the 1961 Liege-Rome Rally (from Liege to Rome and back), fell in love with the car and bought it after the victory for "personal use"... and that's exactly why we, currently the only Austin Healey rental in Switzerland, have named our Healey "Pat", in honour of this great woman!
Our Mark 3 (MKIII) Phase 2 is the most desirable, and the last of the range, treat yourself to the pleasure of enjoying this roadster!

A wonderful experience. You are not driven, no you drive a car with all your senses, a huge driving pleasure, even if the weather forces you to close the roof. Thank you

It was a fantastic experience
My wife and I borrowed the beautiful Austin Healy "Pat" for 2 days over Whitsun 24. What a super-cool car, which attracts a lot of attention on the road and leads to spontaneous and appreciative signs and happy exclamations from enthusiastic passers-by! The little runabout is also very good to drive and you really get to work when steering this compact vehicle, which can be a bit tiring but is first and foremost a lot of fun. For longer journeys, I would opt for something a little more comfortable. There is enough space in the boot to carry a medium-sized suitcase for the weekend. My wife was delighted with this weekend experience. I really hit the mark with my gift to her for her 50th birthday. She spent most of the time cruising through our beautiful Appenzellerland in the 60s sports car and was beaming with happiness and joy. Even though I occasionally sat behind the wheel for a stretch, I felt the same way. With her original silk dress from the 60s, specially customised for this weekend, she simply fitted in perfectly in this car. It was simply a brilliant experience! And as the saying goes: Happy wife - happy life!
From my point of view, everything was perfect, from the reservation to the information to the handover/return of the vehicle, everything as it should be. I can only recommend it!
